I'm currently supervising 3 PhDs at the School of Art & Design at the UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture Faculty.
Over the course of my carreer I have 41 HDR completions internationally: 4 PhD supervisions and 37 Masters by Research. Between 2013 and 2019, I worked at the Royal College of Art, London (a postgraduate-only institution) where I mostly supervised thesis and dissertations on the RCA/V&A History of Design programme, on Communication Design and Product Design (as Tutor in Critical and Historical Studies).
My areas of expertise and examination experience are Latin American culture, design and visual culture | Global Design Histories (focus on decolonial methods) | Studies on nationalism & national identity formation through design and craft | Craft histories and theories | Environmental Histories of Design | Nineteenth- & twentieth-century industrial and communication design | Histories of graphic design and printing technologies.
